After a few months of looking, a few too many expensive surveys carried out and a lot of disappointment I’ve finally managed to buy a house. Thought I had paid quite a bit for it but it turns out my price matches the valuation exactly. Top smart.

Its My Birthday
Well I’ve finally reached the big 30 today…….and I feel no different to yesterday. Lots of nice gifts – thanks to my friends for them and also thanks to Shak for letting me kick his butt at tennis (wonder what his excuse will be tomorrow).
Asked today whether I’ve achieved all I set out to do by the time I was 30, but to be honest I’ve never really set out any clear goals in life – just as well! Maybe its something I should do for future years. Maybe’s aye, maybe’s naw.
Portable Playstation
Sony have unveiled some concept art for their new handhled – see here. If it turns out like this I will be amazed. Very pleased, but amazed.
Dismal Rangers
The worst thing about the Man U defeat was the total lack of passion in the game. It’s easy to point out who had the strongest team before the start of the match, but I can hardly think of anyone who showed grit or determination to get the ball. Lovenkrands showed endeavour but had little service. Apart from that only Burke showed enough to suggest he has a rosy future.
As for Capucho & Vanoli – they should be shown the door. I would rather have youngsters playing than those two overpaid diddies. Rangers are now playing for a UEFA Cup place – I just hope they manage that.
Champions League
Man U vs Rangers – fills me with dread when I think how this could end. The best I could hope for…..0-0. Reality will however bite at somepoint and Man U will win easily. Celtic tomorrow – 3-2….or they can look forward to EUFA Cup at best.

Just put my confession on – I feel so cleansed. Only another 20 or so to add…
The Glasgow Story
A new website has just been launched all about Glasgow called The Glasgow Story. The site is a collection of stories and pictures describing the history of Glasgow. Some of the content is excellent. Click here to see a picture of where I work, although its slightly more modern now (but not much).
Baby News
Lewis & Kim have just had a baby boy – proud parents can be see here. No name as yet but Kim & baby are healthy and on Friday Lewis was already knackered and the baby is only 2 days old. Congrats to them both – nice to have a bit of good news to post.
PC Upgrade part 2
The pc upgrade is complete and I finally got round to doing a backup. And it worked!! One outcome of the upgrade was how slow XP took to shutdown (startup was fine). A quick Google found a great XP tips site – shutdown is only around 15 seconds now.
Only annoyance is how noisy my processor fan is. A Zalman Flower would solve it, although a motherboard upgrade and a new chip is far more tempting. As well as the flower.
Matrix Revolutions
Really looking forward to seeing the final Matrix film (well final for now I guess). I picked up Reloaded on DVD last week – its only an average film but watching at home was more enjoyable than the cinema where it seemed to take an eternity before the film picked up any sort of pace.
Hopefully some nice plot twists will keep the last film enjoyable although thanks to me reading a massive spoiler in the papers (DOH! Why can’t plots be more clearly marked) some thinks just won’t be a surprise.
